BEAUNE-IFIED WINE DRINKERS
|
Don't you just love those group photo shots of people who don't know each other all that well and everybody looks really stiff? Well that was all about to change starting in a little place called Beaune in Burgundy region of France.
Beaune was a quick stop for us en route to the Swiss Alps. We had the better part of the day which warranted two things: tasting wine and visiting a medieval hospital (yes, in that order). After realizing a few members of our group had the same agenda, off we went in search of Patriarche Pere et Fils winery. This tiny town with a ring road should have been pretty easy to navigate, but we managed to get lost anyway. Maybe it was le vin? I'll never tell. |
